Många inhyrda – sämre säkerhet?

Idag har jag läst om två olika försök att från ledningshåll paja de anställdas möjligheter att själva organisera sitt arbete så som de vet behövs. I ena fallet: som behövs för att göra ett bra och säkert jobb och inte utsätta sig själv, sina kollegor och inte minst, kunderna, för livshotande risker. I det andra: som behövs för att göra ett bra jobb och inte bryta mot mänskliga rättigheter.

Ryanairs piloter varnar för flygsäkerheten – ”piloter känner sig allt mer pressade av sina arbetsvillkor som kontraktsanställda, där det gäller att leverera enligt avtal, vara flexibel och beredd på förflyttningar och förändringar, att själv stå för vissa kringkostnader och att inte bryta mot någon av alla paragrafer, för då blir det kontraktsbrott.”

Storbråk pågår inom Arlandas gränspolis – ”Regimskiftet är tydligt. Tidigare har inga som jobbat med asylärenden varit uniformerade. Nu ska vi ha uniform och vara beväpnade med skjutvapen, batong och pepparsprej – vilket är direkt olämpligt i vårt jobb. De har omplacerat många av oss från det äldre gardet, som jobbat med asylärenden i över 30 år och kan reglerna.”

Till kursen i Organisationspsykologi som jag nyligen avslutade skrev jag ett paper om så kallade disorganisatoriska effekter av att ha mycket inhyrd personal. Det påverkar säkerheten dåligt på olika sätt. Det här är nog inte lika bra som mitt förra paper men då det kändes så aktuellt idag bestämde jag att good enough är good enough helt enkelt.

I want to do something new with this domain, but I can’t quite figure out what (or more correctly when, I have alot on my plate right now). For the time being I’ll use the Simplr-theme and keep scratching my head about what to do.
